I went to a voter’s registration unit with my friends to do my registration as a law abiding citizen at Powerline okeira, Ogba Lagos to be specific. On getting there, I was told by the INEC official in charge that we are to pay 100 Naira for printing.
I asked why? And he said its because there is no Ink. I went further to explain to him that its not an excuse for me to pay any money for registration but he said INEC did not produce Ink for them and he and the people registering must produce money for Ink to register at his is Unit.
Now the go question goes thus, after the huge amount invested for the Voters Registration Should Ink for registration be an Issue for me not to register? Must I and the people have to pay money for that? Imagine if everybody is to pay that amount he will be making a lot of money aside from his primary assignment and pay.
What troubles me is that this Nation is so corrupt. They tend to extort people at the slightest opportunity. We should not allow this. It is totally nonsense and fraud. We must stand for the right thing at any point in time. Nigerian should no there right.
The picture of the person and the unit in question is pasted below.
On the other hand, I personally found out that before registering. The candidate should wash his/her hand with detergent thoroughly and clean with a neat piece of cloth then he/she can now thumbprint. It takes nothing less than 3-5min for him to be registered with the machine.
The news should be passed round.
Thanks
Hello Sir, I'm a college student from Philippines. I've seen your paper sir entitled "The usage and impact of internet enabled phones on academic concentration among students of tertiary institutions: A study of University of Ibadan, Nigeria." I want to use it sir as my main reference for my study and you as my main author(reference) but my problem sir is I can't find your questionnaire(instrument for survey) on your paper sir. Can I get a copy of your questionnaire or if you just adopted it, may I know to whom?
